Strawberry Field

Want to know more about John Lennon as a youngster? Famed by The Beatles song title, this is an absolute must go to place for anyone visiting Liverpool. We can't thank the Strawberry Field team enough for the very kind support and the wonderful people that always have a massive smile and have made us so very welcome every time we drop by.

About Strawberry Fields

Liverpudlians are probably amongst the most warming people that will always make you welcome. The super proud people of Strawberry Field are no different. Besides being the place to learnĀ  what John Lennon was up to as a youngster, in their incredible visitor centre, its also a place that excels as a learning and development centre for young people to learn skills that can help get them into gainful employment, a very valuable community contribution. You will also find a picnic lawn, to watch concerts from the bandstand, as well as seeing the now famed, strawberry field gates that once were installed across the entrance to the original children’s home.

The staircase gallery regularly puts on art and photographic exhibitions, and who knows, maybe one day, there may be a Tommy Hanley image exhibition at some stage in the future? keep checking back as our two respective websites will be the first to announce it!

Tom Hanley, noted and distinguished photographer was there during The Beatles heyday and was there to chronicle the demise of the world's greatest entertainment phenomenon. I learned that Tony was issuing only 1,000 copies of this book, and I simply I just had to have one. I was not disappointed. It is a fabulous book. This is one of THE best photography books about the world's best pop band, without question, and one of my favourite books in my massive Beatles library!

Mr John Bezzini USAGenuine book purchase. Probably the person with the biggest Beatle book collection in the world!
